Open letter to the Oyo State Government.
January 11, 20180 Comments
ATTENTION: OYO STATE GOVERNMENT

The  latest statement credited to Dr. Adeduntan Azeez (Commisioner for Health)on the death of Late Oluwajobi is totally uncalled for. We've been trying to move on from the ugly incident until he spoke again yesterday. Can we just allow him to rest in peace?

What i expected from him was just a simple message to commiserate with his family, friends & @freshfmibadan, not going to d public again with unnecessary rant. A leader takes responsibilities not trade blames

If Dr. Adeduntan claimed late Oluwajobi had a 5/15 chance to live or die when he was brought to d state hospital,it means he would stil hav survived if he had a better medical care. Not every Citizen can be Yusuf Buhari that had access to 1st class medical care when he had an accident.

Is Dr. Adeduntan the kind of leader that wants to be d governor in d state come 2019?If this is d kind of person he is, may he NEVER achieve this. Pls ask him if he can bring any of his Children to Adeoyo Hospital for a medical care or even himself?

Dr. Adeduntan is quoted here“He came in brain dead. Instead of blaming the driver that knocked him down around 12 midnight on New Year ’ s Eve, you are now blaming the caregivers that did their best . Pls ask Dr. Adeduntan, is he aware that the reckless driver that knocked Femi down was aprehended, arraigned and later released on bail at the court?

If Dr. Adeduntan fails to apologize and sympathize with the family, friends& @freshfmibadan over d death of Late Oluwajobi, he should know that the law of KARMAL is real. What goes around would surely come around 1 day sooner or later #RIPOluwajobi

OYO STATE REACTS TO OAP’S DEATH, CALLS FRESH FM OUT

‘I AM READY TO FACE ANY SURGEON ON THE ISSUE OF FRESH FM’- Adeduntan

Oyo State government on Tuesday officially reacted to the death of an Ibadan based journalist, Olufemi Oluwajobi who died on Sunday 31st December 2017.
The deceased who worked with Ibadan based radio station owned by Mr. Yinka Ayefele, Fresh FM was said to have been taken to Adeoyo Hospital, one of the state owned hospital after being knocked down by a driver around

It was alleged that the deceased was moved from Adeoyo Hospital due to lack of equipment and inability of those on duty to take care of him and was thereafter rushed to University College Hospital (UCH) where he was said to have died in the process.
The incident has attracted a lot of criticisms especially from the main opposition party in the state, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which decried the poor state of the Adeoyo hospital owned by the state government.

But the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abdulazeez Adeduntan while reacting to various allegations that surrounded the circumstances that led to the death of the deceased at a press briefing Tuesday morning, declared that there was no need for the FM station to attack the government since the doctors and other staff of the hospital tried their best to save the deceased.

Adeduntan said “We are here to establish facts and figures and that is what we are trained to do. I am not here to polish the government of Governor Abiola Ajimobi but to set the record straight on his achievements in the heath sector and on the various issues such as the death of a staff of Fresh FM. That is why Governor Ajimobi brought me here.
“I will more or less encourage you to come to the ministry of health and ask us questions.
“I am ready to face any surgeon on the issue of the Fresh FM.

Adeduntan while speaking asked the FM station to blame the driver of the car that led to the death of the deceased instead of blaming the state government and the care giver that tried their best to revive the deceased.
He said “We did our best at Ring Road hospital. I would have expected Fresh FM to ask a surgeon to come and study this chart. Instead of blaming the driver that knocked this man, you are now blaming the care giver.
“Let us check our facts. I stand this morning to stand before any surgeon on this chart.
“Let Fresh FM go and call any surgeon in the one, a trained and certified one, Dr. Adeduntan will pay for it to come and read the chart”
Adeduntan while speaking further also declared that the achievements of the present administration in the state was second to none especially in the areas of eradication of polio, malaria among others.
He said no government in the state has achieved more that the present administration since the inception of the state.

Adeduntan said that the health insurance scheme which is the first in any state of the federation has about 40,000 clients already, noting that contrary to insinuation, the state hospitals are not mere consulting clinics but functional heath facilities.
He also disclosed that less than 100 million naira has so far been generated from the N50bn state heath endowment fund launched in August 2017.

WHAT A COUNTRY: Court Grants 100k bail for the driver who claimed AN OAP'S LIFE IN IBADAN
January 06, 20180 Comments

Olufemi Oluwajobi whose life was claimed by a Drunk driver on 31st December 2017 has been laid to rest

Babatunde OJOBARO'S POURS HIS MIND..:

"I was getting over him, I was doing everything I could to move on and accept the fact that GOD knows best. If I feel this bad and sad of Femi's demise I wondered how the family would feel or his parents, so I made up my mind to move on until I started hearing some information which seems to be true but I pray by GOD the information isn't true.
Femi Oluwajobi who is a very bright, talented, hardworking, husband, father to a little baby and an unborn child was knocked down on the night of 31st of December, 2017 and he died on the 1st of January 2018, life was snuffed out of him by a careless driver who now blames it on brake failure, a driver who was allegedly drinking coedine while driving, Femi was snatched away from his dream, his beautiful wife and children, he was snatched away from his parents, he was snatched away from his friends and colleagues. Femi entered the new year and couldn't rejoice like he did on his birthday just 8days before then. Femi's blood still remains as a stain on the road, Femi was buried untimely. All these would not bring Femi back so I decided it was best to move on until this ugly stories began to filter the air into my ears.
The alleged drunk driver who knocked Femi out of this life was granted bail of N100,000.
COULD THIS BE TRUE?
I also heard that the Magistrate in charge of the case said "the driver didn't go out with the intention to kill somebody" My GOD, my heart bleeds.
Is this all we are in this country?
I again pray by GOD that this information isn't true but hey it seems to be true. The same we we hoped Femi's death was a joke is the same way I hope this story is a joke.
Is the Oyo State Government aware of this?
Is it because Femi doesn't have the connection to stand up to this case?
Is it because we have weak laws and people can work their ways around?

How can I ever move on from this knowing fully well that if it was me that was knocked down, a 100k will end the matter, if you was you reading this that was knocked down, a common 100k that can't meet basic needs will end the matter.
The story will be the other way round if he was the son of a high ranked official or politician, the story will be different because we are in a Country that favours only the rich, we are in a Country that someone who was over speeding and drunk at the same time can just walk away after killing a human like himself.

Would I be able to sleep tonight? Maybe not but I might be able to tomorrow night if this ugly story I am hearing is false and that 100k will not close this chapter, I just might be able to sleep then.

I hope this message will be shared, bloggers will post it, noise will be made to make sure....

Indeed there was a country

My name is Babatunde OJOBARO and I was a friend to Olufemi Oluwajobi

*REST IN PEACE FEMI*  *AESOS* got your back"
